After completing a B.A. (Hons) degree in Theatre Dramaturgy at the University of Leeds Matt lived and worked in Australia, running art and theatre workshops at schools, festivals and retreats. During this time he performed as part of the festival of Cairns, as well as taking commissions and exhibiting sculptural work in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.

Upon returning to the U.K he studied for a M.A. in Animation and Sound Design at the Norwich School of Art and Design,(Now Norwich University College of the Arts). This has led to commissions, collaborations, exhibitions and film screenings both nationally and internationally.

As a tutor and educator Matt runs courses and workshops for groups of all ages and abilities. These have recently included the NCFE qualification in Animation for Norfolk Adult Education, and a fourth year as a drama co-ordinator in schools in Italy.

In 2006 his digital short commissioned by the UKFilm council screened at the Cannes Festival short film corner, in 2007 he held the first ever artist in residence post for the Norfolk Adult Education service, and 2008 saw “Feeling Fruity” his Go Elephants! design sell at charity auction for a mammoth sum.

Matt is available for commission on design and realisation of puppets, props, set pieces and animations.
