Giant head from electronic junk.

Phones, Pixels and Plasmas: Digital Technology at Norwich Forum.

This month I coordinated the creation of a 9ft high sculpture out of scaffolding, old TVs, Video players and computers with the help of students from City College Norwich created in situ outside the Norwich Forum building in a week, and left to guard Millennium plain throughout technology month.

The giant head came out looking like some kind of evil Transformer robot (Decepticon to those who know!) and was affectionately named “Junkotron”

The EDP covered the story, the article can be read here: http://www.edp24.co.uk/news/education/technology-sculpture-takes-shape-in-norwich-1-834740

The local BBC made a short time-lapse film of the event the you can see on YouTube here. (Beware of the loud soundtrack!)

See the Facebook Group for more pictures and info.

Last few days this week of the Phones Pixels and Plasmas event at The Forum, Norwich. Pop down and visit the giant…
